Ms. Wooten's Weekly Class Newsletter Week of April 10-14
HOOTING HELLO!
As we all know, the end of the school year is quickly approaching, and I am so excited for these next couple of weeks. We have so many fun and educational activities to complete, so please hang on tight with me!
Reminders:
Directions for the final history project will be going home this week. Please read these carefully. The project is due MAY 14TH!
We will begin ACT ASPIRE testing next week. Comfy clothes, breakfast, and a good night's are highly encouraged, as with any night.
Field Day with be May 24th, following awards day. Please come and celebrate these great students with us!

April 10-14 Subject Lesson Focus
Reading- We will continue reading and discussing Because of Winn-Dixie. Our focus this week will be chapters
23-26, and we should finish up the book this week.
Spelling- A new spelling and vocabulary list will be sent out. We will practice spelling these words each day and make a four square vocabulary model with each word. There will be a test at the end of the week.
Language Arts- We will be reviewing nouns and pronouns. We will also discuss narrative writing.
Math- We will learn to add and subtract fractions. There will be a quiz at the end of the week.
Science- We will cover the water cycle and conduct an evaporation experiment on Friday.
History- We will be discussing and brainstorming ideas for our final "Alabama Hall of Fame" project. Class time will be dedicated to complete this assignment.
Riddle of the Week:
One night, a king and a queen went into a castle. There was nobody in the castle, and no one came out of the castle. In the morning, three people came out of the castle. Who were they?
